AL govt always a friend of people in danger: Tipu

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, MP,  said on Friday the Awami League (AL) government is always a friend of the people in danger and stands beside them in any need.

“Whenever people are in danger, the AL government extends a helping hand to them with everything,” Tipu said while visiting the arson attack and violence victim Hindu families in village Kasba Majhipara of Pirganj upazila here on Friday evening.

After visiting the village, the minister handed over cash money, saree, lungi and blankets to the affected Hindu families. 

“The damaged and burnt houses have already been constructed for the affected families and other losses are also being compensated for their complete rehabilitation and returning to normal life,” he said.

“All local leaders and activists of AL and its associate bodies as well as the government are and will be by the side of all affected families in the village where normalcy has already returned,” Tipu said.

Rangpur Deputy Commissioner Md Ahsan Habib, Rangpur District AL General Secretary Advocate Rezaul Karim Raju, Pirganj Upazila Parishad Chairman Nur Mohammad Mandal and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Biroda Rani Roy, Pirganj Municipal Mayor and Pirganj Upazila Awami League General Secretary Tajimul Islam Shamim, Rangpur Sadar Upazila Chairman Nasima Zaman Boby, District Chhatra League President Mehede Hasan Rony and other local political leaders were present.

Earlier, the minister attended the extended meeting of Kawnia upazila AL at Kawnia and another meeting with leaders and activists of Rangpur district AL at its office at Betpotti area in the city.
